The collective leadership of the GPRN/NSCN, as approved by “tatar hoho”, has reaffirmed that they shall endeavour to serve the “nation” on the principle of “self determination and freedom of the Naga people without which our existence as a people will ever be threatened.” A note of “reaffirmation” by GPRN/NSCN president “gen.” Khole and “ato kilonser” N. Kitovi Zhimomi, expressed faith and confidence in the FNR and said they were committed to the Covenant of Reconciliation (CoR). “Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), since its inception, has courageously strived to instill peace, unity and brotherhood among the warring Naga groups. Reasoning among the Nagas, at all levels, has been aroused,” the GPRN/NSCN collective leadership said. “GPRN/NSCN convened an emergency “National Assembly” June 7, 2011 and espousing the socialist democratic principles enshrined in the National Yehzabo, the Tatar Hoho, in the interest of the Nagas, impeached former President, GPRN & Chairman, NSCN S.S Khaplang, for failing to abide by the National Yehzabo at a crucial hour,” the note stated. Maintaining that Khaplang’s “unilateral withdrawal” from COR was a “perjury” against the Naga people, the note said due to which the “tatar hoho” unanimously elected “Gen. Khole, commander-in-chief, Naga army, as new president of the GPRN and also chairman of the NSCN.”
