As part of the anti malaria month, CMO Zunheboto organized a program on June 2 at its office complex.
The program was chaired by Hekuto, DPO NVBDCP in-charge and Dr. Hokishe Sema, chief medical officer Zunheboto spoke on preventive measures of vector borne diseases and IRS DDT spray.
Under this awareness program, a team led by Hekuto and his staff SI SW, MPW, lab technician along with Dr. Hokugha Sema, medical officer Akuluto PHC and his staff visited Akuluto PHC and VK PHC from June 4 to 6.
Out of 97 blood slides collected in Akuluto PHC, two were tested positive and three were tested positive out of 274 blood slides collected in VK PHC.
The team also visited Navodaya School in Lumami village and collected 93 blood slides, 57 blood slides in Izheto village and 47 blood slides in Mukhami village.
Meanwhile, an awareness program was also organized at Satakha PHC from June 8 to 9. The team visited Nuhimi village and collected 48 blood slides, 57 blood slides in Shoyipu village, 44 blood slides in Khukiye village and 96 blood slides in Lukhayi village.
Further on June 10, the team collected 84 blood slides in Sukhayi village, 53 blood slides in Ghukiye village and treated the mosquito nets of the villagers with free insecticides. On June 13, the team visited Yemishe village and collected 135 blood slides and also treated the mosquito nets with free insecticides for the community.
