ACCI Dimapur-1A/C welcomes
Dimapur: ACCI Dimapur-1A/C president Tukuka H. Awomi has welcomed members of NPF party who resigned to join the Congress to strengthen the INC party. The resigned members from NPF ward number 22 1 Dimapur-A /C include its president Shikavi Shohe and active member Henili.
WUM condemns rape attempt
DIMAPUR: Watsu unit Mangkonglemba (WUM) has condemned the rape attempt by one Tekameren son of late Reinokchaba of Longjemdang village Mangkolemba. The Watsu unit said it would not tolerate the barbaric behaviour in the civilized society in future.
DSBC crusade in central jail
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church organized a two-day crusade at Central Jail Dimpaur on June 16 and17 on the theme “Escape for your life.” On June 16, DSBC pastor, Rev. Phughoto Aye led a team of 10 prayer warriors and others to the jail where 80% of the inmates stepped forward for the altar call, confession and repentance. Morning and evening services were held during the two-day jail ministry.
Youth awakening camp
DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Baptist Youth Endeavour (USBYE) would be organizing a youth awakening camp from June 24 to 26 at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur. All youth members have been requested to approach their respective youth directors/presidents for registration.
NCRCC prayer fellowship: Nagaland Chrisyian Revival Church Council (NCRCC) full time women one day prayer fellowship would be held on June 22 at Evangel Bible Translator, Chiimukedima, Dimapur, 9am. All tribal councils, local churches full time workers are requested to attend.
Dimapur Bengali Community elects president: The Dimapur Bengali Community held a general meeting held on June 19 at Sree Sree Ram Thakur Sevashram premises Railway Colony. The meeting was attended by about 1200 delegates from all the colonies. Kalu Dutta, R.R.Barua, Prof. Debashish Dutta (Retd.), Dr. J.C. Das (Principal DJG College), Madhav Saha, senior citizens were amongst other attended the meeting. A committee was also formed under name “Dimapur Bengali Samaj” and elected K.K Paul (Advocate) as president.
Pre-Service Teachers Association, Mokokchung meet: A general meeting of pre-service teachers association, Mokokchung unit (PSTE) will be held on June 24, 12noon at DIET Institute Mokokchung. All trained and on-going trainees are requested to attend the meeting without fail as the issue for the new office bearers will be discussed.
MSU surprise checking
DIMAPUR: In order to prevent free flow of liquor and drugs trafficking in the state, Merapani Students’ Union (MSU) conducted a surprise checking assisted by GBs of Merapani village on May 3 and seized 10 cases of assorted IMFL, 5 boxes of relipien (50 strips) and 38 packets of ‘gutkhas’. The seized items were destroyed in the presence of GBs and village elders.
