Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) celebrated Fathers’ Day on Sunday at the main church.
Associate pastor Rev. A. Khyolamo Jami was the theme speaker.
Speaking on the theme, “The unique place of a father in the family” the speaker challenged the fathers present, whether they were occupying the unique place which God has assigned to them.
Quoting from the word of God, he said fathers ought to represent the Heavenly Father and live up to His likeness by taking forward their family in the right direction.
Referring from the Bible, he further dwelt on the role of a father to pray for his family, to teach and guide them in the right path and to be a provider for their physical/material and spiritual needs.
“To represent our Heavenly Father is not an easy task, yet if we have close ties with God, He would help us,” Jami exhorted.
Marking the day, Pastor KLBC, Rev. Mhathung invoked God’s blessings upon all the fathers while ex-Pastor A. Mathew Khuvung said the invocation.
KLBC choir enthralled the congregation by presenting a special song in honour of the fathers.
Associate Pastor, K. Benry Lotha led the congregation during the Father’s Day celebration programme.
