Oldest surviving Kyong reverend feted

In an effort to stress on the importance of fatherhood, Dongphi Chokae Okho on Sunday organized a felicitation programme for Rev. Tssemomo Ovung, one of the oldest surviving reverend from Lotha Baptist community at Fun Bowling, Duncan Bosti Dimapur.
Sharing his life experiences, Rev. Tssemomo Ovung said God is good and transform everyone who loves Him and further urged the gathering to be a part of the process and live a life of dedication and oneness.
Speaking on the occasion, Nimeno Liegise, Sunday school superintendent said fatherhood cannot be subsided and urged the fathers to be responsible in bringing up and guiding their children to the right direction. Quoting the Bible passage Genesis chapter 3, Nimeno said God placed the fathers as the head of the family and fatherhood is a combination of royal priesthood and a king to guide the nation which is the family.
Jacob Yanthan, SDO (Store) who is also the member of Dongphi Chokae Okho said the programme was organized to salute the contributions made by Rev. Tssemomo on Fathers day was the best occasion to felicitate him.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Reverends from Supreme Task Force, Diphupar Baptist Church and Senjum Baptist Church.
