NEZCC Guru Shishya Parampara scheme

Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme, a scheme implemented to preserve and nurture art forms under North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) through financial assistance, is being extended for a period of one year. There will be one expert as Guru, one accompanist and four pupils in each identified art form, whereby honorarium or scholarship of `5000 per month will be given to the guru, `2500 per month for the accompanist and `1000 per month to the selected pupils. Age for the guru should be between 45-80 years.
Interested experts/masters in the field of traditional folk arts may submit their application with full bio-data to the department of Art and Culture of their respective state for the year 2011-12 or directly submit to the office of director, North East Zone Cultural Centre, P.O Box- 98, Dimapur- 797112.
Under the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme, young talents are nurtured to acquire skills in their chosen fields of art through financial assistance by ZCC’s in the form of scholarship under the guidance of experts and masters.
Art forms which can be covered under the scheme include folk forms, training in rare folk music and traditional musical instruments and folk songs and dances, crafts etc.
