All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has appealed to the department in-charge to expedite the ongoing suitability test which started in September 27, 2011 so that service of deserving adhoc teachers may be regularized without further delay.
Stating that contribution of adhoc teachers was crucial as most of the government schools were run by them (adhoc teachers), All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association president Ponchulo Wanth and joint secretary P. Vashum highlighted the process of regularization through suitability test involves certain formalities starting with DSE and then to the department of school education where it would then be referred to the department of P& AR and finance.
On obtaining clearance from P& AR and concurrence of finance, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association revealed the file is forwarded to the screening committee headed by chief secretary and endorsed to the cabinet cell for approval of state cabinets.
Thereafter, the file is dispatched to DSE via school education department for necessary issue of regularization order.
During this whole process of completing formalities, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association disclosed that certain hitches occur in the normal movement files due to time factor of the screening committee consisting of high profile bureaucrats from five different departments and also the cabinet ministers who are available only at their appointed times.
All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association also cited that cases regarding those who appeared suitability test last year were now with the screening committee.
Adding that service regularization was a long process, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association appealed for early regularization of adhoc teachers so that next batch of adhoc teachers who are yet to face suitability test may be taken up in due course of time.
