2 held for extortion

24 Assam Rifles personnel Tuesday nabbed two persons on charges of extortion, police said. According to police, the arrested two were intercepted by AR personnel during MVCP Chekiye village area while they were traveling in a motorcycle (NL07J 0198). Upon frisking, two booklets of tax collection, receipts bearing the name of “ministry of chaplee affairs, GPRN/NSCN along with cash amounting to Rs.2580 were recovered from their possession, police said. Further, police stated that a case has been registered against the two accused have bee identified as “RSI” Piketo Swu (36), of NSCN (K), son of Nixuto Swu and “RSI” Hukato Sema (35), of NSCN (K), son of Viyekhu sema, both residing at Padumpukhri, Dimapur.
