Nagaland State BJP had a consultative meeting on Saturday at its head office Dimapur and endorsed the book titled “Congress Governments Loot of North East” a report of BJP fact finding committee to unravel the scams of the north eastern states.
Senior state party workers and various frontal Morchas present in the meeting deliberated various issues pertaining on how to reform and reactivate the party in the state.
BJP national president Nitin Gadkari appointed a three member fact finding committee to probe in to the various scams in the North East. The team would comprise of Bijoya Charavarty MP-vice president BJP, Tapir Gao general secretary BJP and Dr Kirit Somaiya Secretary BJP.
According to the BJP, the total size of various scams-2G, CWG, IPL, Adarsh etc., was estimated at Rs 4,00,000 crore for the year 2010.
BJP further alleged that various scams have taken place in states of north east eg the Hydro power scam which was beyond Rs 4 lac crores and corruption/kickback of thousands of crores.
The eleven services included basic services like PDS, hospital, school, education, electricity and water supply, NREGS and forest etc.
According to state BJP, the level of corruption studied in Assam and Nagaland was alarming whereas corruption in Meghalaya, Auranchal Pradesh, Manipur and Sikkim was high and Tripura and Mizoram were found to be moderate.
The report of the fact finding committee of BJP is now being submitted to the party which would later be submitted to the President of India, added the state BJP in a press release.
