DIMAPUR: Reguri Students Union (RSU) headed by its president Rhutsomu Pfithu visited government primary school and government middle school Reguri on May 27.
During the visit, the team interacted with both students and teachers. It was also found that ever since the school was upgraded on October 2003, in addition to detachment of the school on 2004, government middle school Reguri had been facing shortage of maths, science, arts, language and graduate teachers as well as grade IV posts such as, knitting instructor, carpentry instructor and peon.
The union also found that at present, the government middle school is run by only three teaching staff. In this regard, Reguri Students Union has appealed the department in-charge to look into the matter for post creation or redeployment of teachers at the earliest.
