CFMG 61st meeting held

The 61st meeting of Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) took place on Saturday at Hotel Japfu, Kohima, this was informed by Maj Gen. (retd) Eppen Jacob Kochekkan, chairman Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG).
Briefing media after the meeting, Kochekkan said representatives of the NSCN/GPRN stayed away from the meeting for reasons unknown, despite the invitation given to them. However, he said the points discussed in the meeting would made known to the NSCN/GPRN by the office (CFMG). He also hoped that all parties would attend future meetings of the CFMG. It was important for us to ensure that people live in peace and tranquility, he said, adding we solicit the cooperation of all concerned.
Asked upon whether the NSCN/GRPN had filed an official complaint about the Chedema incident where the house of a top functionary of the organization was raided by the security forces recently, the chairman said he had not received any official complaint but stated he was briefed on the incident by the security forces.
The meeting was attended by the addl. DGP Thechamo Lotha, addl. chief secretary & commissioner, Banuo Z Jamir, IGAR (N) Maj Gen. Sandeep Singh and CO 78 CRPF Prabhajan Kumar, representing the government.
