Kikheto zealous of more social service

Recently conferred IAS officer Kikheto Y. Sema, additional secretary finance department said he was humbled by the decesion of the government of India to confer the second highest title and said this has motivated him even more to serve the government and society with renewed zeal.
He was speaking at the thanksgiving service organized by his native village Rotomi in his honour at Rotomi on Sunday.
Kikheto said that the IAS title to him also meant “Ino Alhou Shikimithi (IAS)” which when translated to English reads “I thank God.”
He thanked the Almighty for showering countless blessings on him, and thanked the government of Nagaland for enabling him to achieve the title.
The IAS officer expressed heartfelt gratitude to the villagers, Church leaders, GBs, elders and people of Atoizu area for their constant prayer support.
Encouraging the younger generation, Kikheto recalled his struggles as a student and said their hardwork would not go in vain if combined with sincerity and faith upon God.
He said it was only with hardwork and struggle that they would see the light and reap success adding “when it is dark, you see the star.”
Kikheto said whatever little he has achieved today, was due to his parents’ ample and strong prayers stored in “fixed deposit of God’s bank” which he was withdrawing now. He urged the parents to deposit their prayers sufficiently in God’s bank so that their children would reap the fruits of their prayers.
Kikheto, who is the first from his native village to receive the IAS title, said it was not the end but “end of the beginning” of more people getting such prestigious title. He called upon the people of Atoizu area to join hands, unite and work together for the uplift of the society.
Kikheto further sought the prayer support and blessings of the people as he continue to serve the government and the society.
GBs, Church leaders, elders and well wishers from neighbouring villages also spoke on the occasion. The speakers thanked God for blessing the people of the area with an able and sincere officer. They also thanked the government of Nagaland and expressed the hope that the officer would put in renewed effort to uplift the people.
SBC director, Rev Dr. Hevukhu Achumi was the speaker at the thanksgiving programme.
