Governor, DGAR & GOC greet IGAR (N)

IGAR (N) celebrated its 26th Raising Day on May 30 at Kohima.
The historic occasion was greeted by state governor Nikhil Kumar, power minister Doshehe Y Sema, lieutenant general Rameshwar Roy, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, DGAR and lieutenant general Dalbir Singh, AVSM, SM GOC 3 Corps and major general N George, VSM, COS 3 Corps. Banuo Jamir, commissioner of Nagaland and a number distinguished guests from civil administration, Army, Assam Rifles and ex-servicemen joined the celebrations. Major General Sandeep Singh AVSM, SM, VSM and Yashmi Singh, President ARWWA received the guests at the Heritage Hotel where the celebration was held.
The event started off with cutting of a cake by the governor and DGAR.
Governor congratulated and extended best wishes to Major General Sandeep Singh, IGAR (N) and all ranks of IGAR (N) for the contribution in maintaining peace and harmony in Nagaland.
Speaking on the occasion, lieutenant general Rameshwar Roy, DGAR also congratulated IGAR (N) on the 26th anniversary celebrations and wished all ranks the best of luck in the years ahead.
Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh, GOC 3 Corps appreciated all ranks of Assam Rifles for their excellent work being done. In his welcome speech Major General Sandeep Singh highlighted the historical course of HQ IGAR (N) since its raising.
Singh also thanked the Governor, DGAR, GOC 3 Corps, COS 3 Corps, the power minister, officers and military dignitaries for being able to grace the occasion.
