Ombudsmen appointed in all districts of Nagaland

On the recommendation of Selection Committee constituted vide this office Notification of No. NREGA-20/2009, dated 25.6.2010 and in exercise of the Powers conferred under section 27 (1) of MGNREG Act, 11 officials were appointed as Ombudsmen of Nagaland to strengthen the existing administrative machinery for disposal of grievances and to secure the ends of justice.
This was issued by joint secretary to government of Nagaland, rural development department Kelei Zeliang.
The elected Ombudsmen are: Rovisielie, Rtd. Addl. Secretary, Kohima; Dr. Imlirenla, President, Watsu Mongdan-Mokokchung; Chingmak Chang, NGO/Social Worker-Tuensang; Yihamo Patton, Rtd. CDPO, Wokha-Wokha (initially for a period of 1 (one) year subject to review of his performance); Paolal Hangsing, IAS (Rtd)-Dimapur; L.T. Konyak, Rtd. Secretary Mon; Y.B. Angami, Social Worker Longleng; Kupota Khesoh, Social Worker Phek; T. Thsapongkyu Sangtam, Ex-President USSC-Kiphire; Namrai Nsa Rtd. Head Clerk Govt. High School, Peren (Initially for a period of 1 (one) year subject to review of his performance); and Akato Yepthomi, Yemishe village-Zunheboto.
