DPS student scores 98% in CBSE exam

Shiwangi Jain of Delhi Public School, Dimapur topped the class-X examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2011 in Nagaland. Shiwangi secured 9.8 CGPA out 10 (98%).
The youngest among the four siblings born to Binod Kumar Sethi and Sona Devi Sethi from Dimapur, Shiwangi did her schooling from St Mary Montessori School, Dimapur from nursery up to class four. From class V to X, studied at Delhi Public School, Dimapur.
Attributing her success to her parents, teachers and not forgetting friends who always supported from the back, Shiwangi said that she would be pursuing commerce at Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hissar, Harayana and has already taken admission.
A topper right from her school days, Shiwangi attributed her achievements to her tuition teacher who was always by her side.
Binod Sethi, the proud father of Shiwangi, a prominent businessman and industrialist in Dimapur said he was overwhelmed by her daughter’s success and expressed confidence that she emerge as a successful as a charter accountant.
It may be mentioned here that two of her elder brothers and sister were also toppers in the class X exam from Don Bosco School, Dimapur. Shiwangi who used to study two to three hours daily and six to seven hours during exams, said she was pleased with her achievement as things turned out the way she expected.
Shiwangi in her message to the youngsters underlined the need for quality approach rather than quantity. “Don’t take to much pressure and hard work should be accompanied by smart work”, the topper added.
