BJP condemns crackdown of Ramdev and his supporters

Nagaland State BJP has condemned centre government for forcefully arresting Baba Ramdev and its supporters by the police forces while on a fast against corruption and black money in Delhi Ramlila ground on Saturday. Supporters, were baton-charged and tear gas shells were also used to disperse the crowd.
State BJP spokesman K. James Vizo in a press release stated that in a democratic country like India, Ramdev’s cause/fight was in the interest of all and central government using its might and machineries to suppress such democratic movements, itself proved that it was guilty and revealed its dictatorial character.
Nagaland state BJP unit further stated that every citizens of India has the right to gather and demonstrate peacefully, but it was unfortunate that government was opposing the Citizen efforts, to fight against corruption.
While condemning the arrest of Baba Ramdev and its supporter’s state BJP extended support to the party to organize Satyagraha for 24 hours at all levels of country from 7pm onwards on Sunday.
