Central official inspect projects, schemes

Sr. advisor, planning commission government of India, S.N. Mohanty embarked on a two-day visit to Nagaland to inspect the works and projects of various schemes and programmes under different departments.
Upon his arrival on the June 3 at Dimapur, S.N. Mohanty, along with officers from RD, horticulture and planning & coordination department visited and inspected the rural water supply project at Medziphema, horticulture project at Molvum and floriculture project at Kohima road.
Assistant director (publicity) K. Neibou Sekhose informed that Mohanty with RD, horticulture and land resources departments visited Khonoma village for inspection of MGNREGA projects- agri-link road and village circular road, IAY projects and SGSY self help groups and also interacted with VDB members and village council and different committees on June 4.
He was accompanied by commissioner and secretary, RD, Director RD, officers of social welfare, R&B, horticulture, PHE and RD to inspect PMGSY road and Anganwadi centre at Mima village. He also visited the World War II Museum at Kisama and inspected different floriculture projects in Kohima.
A session of interaction with officers and representatives of all departments (RD, Horticulture, social welfare, land resources, PHE, planning& coordination and R&B) was held at Hotel Japfü from 7pm. onwards. On June 5, visited war cemetery and museum before heading to Dimapur for departure to Delhi.
