DPDB meet at Dmu, Tsg, Kiphire

Dimapur district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting was held at DC’s conference hall on June 6 chaired by EAC, Winnie Konyak.
Highlighting the departmental activities, district veterinary officer (DVO) Dr. V.H. Shohe said the department was established in the year 1965 and after creation of Dimapur district, the office was headed by district veterinary & animal husbandry officer (DVO).
Altogether there are 15 veterinary institutions in the district and the activities of the institution include diagnosing diseases, treatment and health services, technical consultative services for management in improving the quality of animal products for farmers and entrepreneurs.
Programme administrator for Tej Gyan Foundation (TGF), Sarita Sharma gave a PowerPoint presentation on activities of the foundation.
The Board also recommended to the Government for opening of Morung Christian Academy School at Xethozhe, Bethel Assembly of God School at Diezephe village and grand in-aid for File Foundation School at Chumukedima.
KIPHIRE: DPDB meeting of the Kiphire district was held Monday at official chamber of the Deputy commissioner, Kiphire.
Parliamentary secretary T. Torechu CAWD and chairman DPDB with DPDB members and KTC advisors attend the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Torechu called upon the members present to co-operate with one another so that developmental works could be achieved.
Commenting on his displeasure with the way developmental works are carried out in Nagaland, Torechu said many of the works were bogus and merely about “talking and not working”.
To get first hand information and to update one another on the latest happenings, the chairman called upon all DPDB members to inspect works carried out in the district and asked the officers to choose at least two projects form each block. C.M. Tsanglao DC Kiphire and vice-chairman Kiphire welcomed the gathering and reviewed the last meeting minute.
The meeting also recommended four schools for grant in aid, and discussed various developmental works and recommendation for creation of EAC post at Mimi range.
TUENSANG: The monthly meeting of district planning development board Tuensang was held here on Monday here at DC conference hall Tuensang. Various agenda discussed by the house included ongoing implementation of EPIC &PER in Tuensang district; inter district badminton open championship 2011 to be held from July 19 to 22 at Tuensang.
The house also discussed the procedural submission of monthly expenditure statement in the treasury office in time and also discussed selection of site for Vidyalaya School and constituted the committee members.
The grant-in aid of private schools for Montessori Kids care school, Union Christian School Noksen town and Akum Imlong School Tuensang and review of opening of district library at Tuensang town were some of the points which were discussed by the house.
