ANATU new team: All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers Union, (ANATU) Mokokchung Unit was formed on June 4. The house decided to collect `500 as membership fee to be deposited at health care pharmacy MTBA complex. The house also decided to work collectively to fulfill demand for declaration of suitability test result and regularization. Meanwhile, ANATU selected ten office bearers with Temsuchizung as president, Jenti Imchen as general secretary and Nokin Sanglir as treasurer and seven other executive members.
State BJP supports Satyagraha for 24 hrs: State BJP unit Nagaland while strongly condemning the arrest of Baba Ramdev and his supporters by the present Central Government led by UPA, has extended support to the party to organize Satyagraha for 24 hours at all levels of country from 7 pm onwards on Sunday.
DSSU joint meeting: Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has convened a joint meeting on June 9, 3pm at its banker’s residence, Notun basti. All unit president representatives of various colleges and colony/sector have been requested to attend the meeting.
PVC meeting: Phishumi Village Council (PVC) has convened a meeting on July7, 1pm at its banker’s residence, Phishumi. All citizens of Phishumi residing in and out, former presidents, general secretary and office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting.
DVC inform villagers: Chairman, Dzevi Village Council (DVC) has informed all members of village to build their own houses within a period of one month from the publication of this notice.
ANPSA 37th general conference: All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association would be holding its 37th general conference on June 9-10 at AIDA, Don Bosco School Dimapur.
Lotsu circle GBs union office inauguration: Lotsu circle GBs union office would be inaugurating on June 9 at 9am with C. Mozhui, secretary Nagaland State Agricultural Marketing Board (NSAMB).
ANTA bans taxi: All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Dimapur unit has cancelled the membership of taxi bearing registration number NL-01-T-7712 and also banned from plying within Dimapur jurisdiction for violating the norms of the association’s resolutions. Informing this in a press release Ahoshe Chophi, general secretary and Ghotoi Awomi, vice president ANTA Dimapur unit said failing which the unit would take stringent action the responsible taxi.
DNSU essay and painting competition: The office of the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union would be organizing an essay and painting competition on June 18, at Govt College Dimapur, from 9am to 11am. The theme for essay will be “The role of Students in balancing the Symbiotic relation” and for painting “Green is Clean”. Essay competition will be for Class XI to graduate level while the painting competition will be for Class VIII (eight) to X (ten). DNSU has invited all students and institutions to participate in the competition. There will be awards for the first three winners in both the categories, and results of the winners will be declared during the XVIII DNSU general conference on June 29 and 30, at IMC Dimapur. NPF office open for enrollment: NPF1 Dimapur 1A/C office would remain open on all working days from June 9 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm for enrollment. All ward president and leaders of frontal organisation have been requested to participate in the enrollment and to contact 9615323710 for details.
UVYO expel one on charges of theft: Ura villa youth organisation (UVYO) in collaboration with Ura villa council has expelled one Kevisanauo of Nkialwa village due to anti-social activities. UVYO has asked Kevisanauo to leave the colony on or before June 9. UVYO president and general secretary in a press release alleged Kevisanauo of stealing, threatening to set a house on fire and taking the name of underground groups to squash colony members while in an inebriated state.
YBVSU meet: Yezutu B Village Students’ Union (YBVSU) would hold its 2011 summer meet cum golden jubilee board members election and program drafting for the coming session on June 9, 10am at the residence of Sukhato K Yeptho at Yezutu B village. All executive members, advisor board members, ex-officious, elders and all bonafide citizens of Yezutu B village in any department and government employees have been requested to attend the meeting. The union further informed that persons failing to attend would take the responsibility of the entire population living under Yezutu B village.
NPF Youth wing 1 Dimapur 1 A/C informs: Naga People’s Front (NPF) Youth Wing 1 Dimapur 1 A/C has informed all NPF youth president under 1Dimapur 1 A/C to submit the name list of the primary and active members on June 11, 10am at NPF 1 Dimapur 1 A/C office.
Yingli souvenirs launched: A house of flower and handicraft, dedicated to destitute women and AIDS orphans, promoted by Yingli Mission Society (YMS) was formally launched on June 6, 8am by Major D. Solanki of 9th Assam Rifles ‘C’ Coy, Longleng as guest of honour. The guest of honour appreciated the organization and also assured his full support for the venture.
PGC general meeting held: Public Ground Colony (PGC) Dimapur held its general meeting on June 5 and elected L.N. Ngullie as chairman and Mhabemo Kikon as general secretary and other members for the tenure 2011-2013.

DLYPCPQ held: District Level Youth Parliament competition and Parliamentary Quiz (DLYPCPQ) organized by District Education Officer was held on June 4 at youth centre DBHSS Wokha. Ekonthung Ranthung of DBHSS Wokha and Arhoni C.Jungio of M.T.C Wokha were selected in the youth parliament and Kabir and Phyobeni of GHSS Wokha was selected in the parliamentary quiz. They have been selected to participate in the state level youth parliament competition and parliamentary quiz 2011 respectively which is scheduled to be held on June 12-15 at ATI Kohima.
NSF felicitation program: Naga Students Federation (NSF) would be organizing a grand felicitation programme for bonafide Naga High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) topper on June 11, 10:30 am at LCS building opposite old MLA hostel with C. NYO felicitates successful HSLC and HSSLC students: Namgalong Youth Organization (NYO), Burma camp organized its 5th felicitation program for the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC examinations on June 4 at Namgalong Council Hall, Burma camp. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest Kathi Chishi, managing director North East Naga Traders Private Limited urged the students to work hard and continue to excel in their studies. He also advised them to take computer education in order to face the challenges in this competitive world.
Meeting on MGNREGA: Time schedule for meeting with project directors DRDAs and ombudsmen of MGNREGA of Nagaland state has been extended to 1pm at Hotel Japfu Kohima.
