Noksen Village Council (NVC) has expressed dismay over the poor road condition between Tuensang to Noksen SDO Civil HQ, which remained neglected for a long period.
Chairman of NVC, Langachu said the NST bus service had to be suspended owing to poor road condition between Tuensang to Noksen, covering a stretch of 60km from Tuensang, which is also the lifeline of the people in the area.
Tuensang-Noksen road being one of the oldest roads in the area, the council has appealed the authorities to address the matter and allocate sufficient funds.
Seeing the complexity of the situation, NVC organized a mass social work along Tuensang to Noksen road on Thursday.
The village council has appreciated SDO (C) Noksen, SDO PWD Noksen, Hd. DB Noksen, Noksen staff union, Litem village council, Yangphi village council for their presence and contribution during the social work.
The council further expressed gratitude to H. Chuba MLA for providing a JCB and thus enabling them to carry out the work successfully.
The citizens of Noksen also urged the authorities to provide better road at the earliest.
