Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) the apex body of the Yimchungru community has resolved not to pay tax to either faction of the GPRN/NSCN till further orders, unless the group came clear that they were but one faction. The YTC adopted the resolution at an emergency meeting on Sunday while deliberating on the current impasse within the GPRN/NSCN. Further, YTC also resolved that it will adopt a non-cooperation stand and take stringent action against any individual or group of either of the GPRN/NSCN violating its resolution. YTC also informed that it will monitor the situation after its resolution came into immediate effect from the date of publication of its meeting. It has also informed all village councils and tribal units under Yimchungru jurisdiction to follow up and strictly implement the order in the larger interest of the general public. Further, at the meeting, the YTC resolved to appeal to all factions to shun violence, kidnapping, threats and other activities under its jurisdiction in order to create a congeniall atmosphere in society. YTC said the decision was based on the resolution adopted by the ENPO on December 18, 2007 at Tuensang, wherein it had demanded cessation of all kinds of hostility within ENPO jurisdiction for the common good of the general public.
