Protest closure of shops

Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), at an emergency meeting held on July 2, unanimously resolved to close down all business establishments/shops in Dimapur on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 12 noon. In a statement, DCCI president Hokivi Chishi said the closure is to protest the June 30 bomb blast at 3rd Mile. DCCI further informed all its executive members and advisors, frontal business organizations (FBO) executive members and advisors and the entire business community to gather at 8.00 a.m. at Bata Charali on July 5 after which a representation would be submitted to the State government through the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. Further, a joint meeting of the DCCI, FBO, Hardware Merchants Association Dimapur and proprietor of M/s Yeptho Enterprise will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the DCCI office, ‘Ana-ki’, Khermahal, the statement said.
