ASK Kohima: Aphuyemi Sümi Küqhakulu (ASK) Kohima has condemned the cold blooded murder of Inashe chairman and Vikeshe Sumi GB of Inavi village and injuring others. Further, ASK said the way the perpetrators acted to wipe out the inhabitants from the village was not acceptable in a civilized society as it would only bring more trouble than solution.
ASK urged the government to take a tough stand to nip the bud of any organization which is sowing the seed of communal hatred, adding any organization formed for the welfare of the society was not expected to commit such cowardice act. Meanwhile ASK affirmed to stand for the people against any inhumane act and also prayed for solace for the bereaved family and speedy recovery of the injured persons.
KTCN: Kachari Tribal Council, Nagaland (KTCN) held an emergency meeting on July 3 to discuss the incident that took place at Inavi village. A press release, issued by information and publicity secretary stated that in the meeting, the members strongly felt that any problem must be solved peacefully without any bloodshed.
KTCN also appealed the state government to act fast and apprehend the perpetrators before the situation worsens.
ENPO: Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has expressed dismay over the incident at Inavi village on June 30. ENPO terming the incident as unfortunate, has appealed to all concerned to refrain from taking law in their own hands and amicably settle the matter peacefully.
