With an aim to boost handicraft and handloom enterprise, ATMA Tuensang held a one day district level handicraft exhibition-cum-competition on June 30 at town hall.
In the exhibition, the thrust events were competition on tribal shawls, mekhalas, waist coats, bamboo and cane crafts and wood crafts.
More than a thousand items were registered for the competition and show.
Sotsula, additional deputy commissioner, Tuensang was the chief guest for the exhibition cum competition as well as sensitization programme for the new Dy. PDs, FF, BTMs, SMS & ATMA staff under new extension reforms programme (ATMA).
Later, the chief guest gave away cell phones to the farmers, block technology managers and subject matter specialists; honorarium for FFs and prizes to the winners of the district level exhibition-cum-competition on handicraft.
