Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has said its executive meeting held along with advisors July 5 raised serious concern over latest Naga political developments, armed violence at Inavi village and bomb blast at Dimapur. In a joint statement, the NMA president Abei-u Meru and secretary Lochumbeni Humtsoe said Naga mothers strongly observed that “our society” did not deserve “this level of violence” and expressed pain to observe violence leading to deaths. NMA called upon every Naga conscience to refrain from such violence and place human lives and uphold dignity. “No form of violence is justified,” the mothers asserted.
It also appealed to Naga political groups for commitment and understanding for resolving Naga issue. The association also extended condolences to the bereaved family members and injured innocent victims in the “unfortunate incidents” of June 30.
