Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) Phek district detecting various anomalies and loopholes on construction work at DC office complex Phek district has termed it as “serious” and against the norms and regulations of NCSU Phek and Phek district in general.
In its commitment to curb corruption, the NCSU Phek stated that it shall not remain silent whenever serious discrepancies comes to light and has cautioned that such poor contract work shall not be tolerated.
NCSU Phek also wrote to the commissioner Nagaland to set up a “Fact finding committee’ at the earliest demanding enquiries to be made as to why construction work at DC complex, at district headquarter Phek could not be enhanced further when enhancement for other district such as Peren and Dimapur had already begun.
While speculating the reason for delay in construction work at DC complex for almost ¾ months, NSCU Phek district has sought clarification on the advance payment amounting to 27 lakhs for electrification as well as water supply and sanitation which was withdrawn without executing a single contract work.
Meanwhile NCSU Phek cautioned that it would take the matter to the street if the concerned authority fails to take steps in due course of time, adding it would not be held responsible for any untoward incident thereafter.
