ANSTA meeting: An emergency meeting of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has been convened on June 28, 10am at LCS building near Ao Church Kohima. Executive members of all concerned units and sub-units have been directed to attend the meeting. Those units/sub-units yet to submit their membership fee have been asked to do so during the meeting.
NNC central executive council meeting: The NNC has convened a central executive council meeting on June 29 at Oking. Informing this in a press release, General Retd. I. Panger Walling, working president NNC has requested all the CEC members, senior leaders, army officials, women federation, NNC officials and all responsible NNC members to attend the meeting.
NNC Yimchungru region meeting: Naga National Council of Yimchungru region has convened a consultative meeting on July 5 at Tsasher village. K. Thraneanba president NNC Yimchungru region has asked all political authorities, Tatar, Leacy, board members villages, Raja Peyus, secretaries and Naga Army officials to attend the meeting. The region also warned that absentees would be terminated from national service.
E&SU meeting: Ehunnu and Yikhanu Students’ Union (E&YSU) has convened a half-yearly meeting on June 25, 10am at the residence of its general secretary. All executive members have been asked to attend the meeting.
ATAN meeting: Aggrieved Teachers’ Association of Nagaland (ATAN) has convened a general meeting on June 25, 10am at ISBT Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. All aggrieved teachers from bogus and absentee list under DVC report have been requested to attend the meeting along with the voluntary collection amount. Further, the union said the grievances of those teachers who fail to attend the meeting would not be taken up by the association.
TBHJ fresher social cum legal literacy prog: Tryannus Boys Hostel Jakhama (TBHJ) would hold its fresher social cum legal literacy and awareness programme on June 24 at the hostel premises. Kezhokotuo Savi, adviser and president NVCO would be the speaker. Legal literacy services and awareness programme would be conducted in collaboration with legal services authority several topics such as Juvenile Justice (Care and protection of children), RTI, environment, climate change, legal services authority, FIR etc.
Launching of ‘Consumer Club’: Loyola School Jakhama formed ‘Consumer Club’ in collaboration with the department of legal metrology and consumer protection, would be officially launched by Kezhokhoto Savi, President NVCO on June 24 at chapel hall, Loyala School Jakhama.
NPF working committee meeting: Shürhozelie Liezietsu president NPF has convened a meeting of NPF working committee on July 1, 11am at NPF central office Kohima. All working committees have been requested to attend the meeting.
Tohanba takes part in EPIC session at Shamator: Parliamentary secretary for IPR, economic and statistic R. Tohanba took part in Electoral Photo Identity Campaign (EPIC) on June 23 in Shamator. He encouraged people of Shamator to be more sincere in EPIC as it was important in identification of electoral process. Tohanba also visited developing sites including construction of IA staff quarter, VG Assistant Commander’s quarter and ongoing soiling of town circular road. He was accompanied by office bearers of NPF 58 A/c, public leaders and public.
OSFCS informs: Office of the Superintendent of Food and Civil Supplies (OSFCS) has informed that Annapurna rice for the month of April to June for Dimapur district has been released. Beneficiaries have been requested to collect it from the respective fair price shops from June 24 onwards i.e Friday and Saturday.
ANFSA (PHED) plea to release pending payment: All Nagaland Field Staff Association (ANFSA PHED) has appealed to the government of Nagaland and head of PHED department to release the pending salaries with effect from December 21, 2010 to June 21, 2011. N. Zhekugha Assumi, president ANFSA (PHED) said due to these pending salaries, the staff has been suffering a lot, especially their children’s academic career. ANFSA (PHED) hoped the problem would be solved at the earliest.
Evidence meeting: The committee on public undertaking, Nagaland Legislative Assembly has convened an evidence meeting with the departmental representatives of industries and commerce and geology and mining on July 6, 11am at Assembly Committee room, Kohima. The meeting has been convened for examination of report of Comptroller and Auditor General paras 2006-7, 2007-8 and 2008-9. All responsible members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Summer camp held at MBC: The Christian Education Department (CED) Mangkolemba Baptist Church (MBC) organized a summer camp from June 10-12 with the theme ‘MAD’ (Make a Difference). Resource persons were Lima Imsong, missionary and Asangla, CED Diphupar ABC. The camp was attended by around 430 children. Praise and worship was led by Sinai Ministry including a follow up service right after the summer camp which continued till June 19.
DLGBU clarifies: Dimapur Lotha GB’s Union has clarified that the name of the union should be read as Dimapur Lotha GB’s Union (DLGBU) and the designation of M.Y. Ngullie as chairman, Dimapur Lotha GB’s Union (DLGBU).
VHC exposure trip: With a view to revamp and revitalize village health committees (VHC) of communitized health sub-centre under Wokha district, an exposure trip was organized to Viswema CHC and Khuzama sub-centre under Kohima district on June 17. The team was led by Dr. Zuben Kikon, nodal officer on communitization under Wokha district.
SUPCC general meeting postponed: Students’ Union Public College of Commerce (SUPCC) general meeting scheduled on June 24 has been postponed to June 28, 11:35am.
LSU emergency meeting: Liphanyan Students’ Union (LSU) has convened an emergency meeting on June 26, 10am at the residence of Zuchumo Ovung, general secretary Duncan Bosti. All executives, seniors, elders, former executives and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Lost and found: Pension payment order book belonging to Kevilel Angami, P.P.O.No.NL/3955, 6th mile Dimapur was found by Sovima village council. Rightful owner have been requested to contact 9436002991 and 9436012212.
SIRD gender sensitization training: SIRD successfully conducted off-campus training on “Gender Sensitization” in collaboration with DRDA, Tuensang at ETC Tuensang from June 14-17 in two phases. Tsasepi, P.O. DRDA, Tuensang delivered the inaugural address. The participants were village level functionaries from different villages. The trainees were sensitized on gender issues and were encouraged to bring a change in the mindset of the people and consider gender development aspect during planning and implementing rural development programme. The resource persons were Dr. Phola Konyak, Principal ETC Tuensang, Dr. Adino Vitso, Sr. lecturer SIRD and P. Shingnyu and Achila Sangtam both master trainers of BRGF- ToT, Tuensang district.
DYC Wokha refutes: The District Youth Congress (DYC) Wokha has refuted the statement which appeared on June 22 in local dailies with regard to Zubemo Ngullie’s resignation. Mhondamo Shitiri, president, Renphamo Odyuo, secretary, DYC Wokha in a release said Zubemo Ngullie of Yanthamo Village who claimed to have joined 37 A/C NPF party was neither an active member nor secretary of DYC. “Therefore (DYC Wokha has no knowledge) record of his contribution towards the Congress party by such new and designation in the present DYC Wokha office bearers”, added DYC. It further appealed to the party workers and public not to be misled by such “malicious and lube declaration”.
