SASU vows to fight for larger interest of the area

The Seyochung area, the Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) in the presence of GBs, village councils, VDBs, VECs and elders for the laregr interest of the area, has unanimously resolved to check absentee teachers and substitute teachers (replacement) within its jurisdiction and take action in the form of “no work, no pay” with effect from July.
Informing this in a press release, T. Lichomong, executive secretary and Setsaba Sangtam, executive chairman SASU in spite of this notification, if any teacher fails to continue his/her duty, then the union would report the matter to the higher authority for necessary action.
Further in the interest of the student community, SASU has appealed for detachment of teachers attached to DIS office at the earliest against Seyochung area.
The union revealed it would conduct surprise checking in all government offices in Seyochung town and if any officer or staff was found absent or out of station, then it would pursue “no work, no pay” and address the matter to higher authorities for necessary action.
The union also requested responsible authorities to check non-availability of doctors, compounders, nurses and other staff appointed against PHC Seyochung town for the past many years and appealed for co-operation and necessary action from all responsible.
