Beat The Heat: Keep yourself fit during summer

As the weather changes and summer season begins, our body becomes prone to diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to make healthy changes in diet in order to stay healthy during summers.
Maintaining a healthy diet is very important in summer season. This will help you stay fit and cool in summers as well as help you stay away from stale food that ultimately leads to many diseases too. Also, there are lots of junk food items that are overwhelming us and these are at times quite irresistible too.
Summer diet should be based on increasing intake of raw fruits and vegetables. This will also help you shred few kilos off your belly and that too without starving.
What you eat during summer is very important. You should know about carb-based foods and protein based foods. Apart from avoiding fatty foods, you need to use a protein diet plan with lots of protein and fewer carbohydrates. This might be tough at first but getting a healthy protein diet plan for summer will earn you rich dividends.
Tips to have healthy diet in summers
Eat 5-6 Meals: If you eat more times a day, you will end eating less than if you take less times as this result in huge portions at a time.
Prefer Light Lunch: Have a light lunch. Prepare mixed fruits with little olive oils and mix some spices. With some variations you can cook the same food many times a day.
Subsequent Meal: The next meal can be a slice of cheese or yogurt or you can have buttermilk or salad with a few drops of lemon juice. You can also have coconut water or lemon juice.
Evening Meal: Have very light meal in the evening too. Make sure that you eat at least two hours before going to bed.
Diet Rules: You can keep fruits separated with vegetables or other food items. Also, try to drink water sometime after taking your meal. Drinking between meals should be completely avoided. Make changes according to your lifestyle and eating style.
Increase Water Intake: Increase your water intake. Drink as much water as possible as the heat absorbs the water of your body and skin and if there is even slightest shortage, you might get dehydrated. Drink water even when you are not thirsty. Try to limit or avoid beverages that are caffeinated, carbonated or high in sugar level. Avoid drinking chilled liquids in summers. Add lots of drinks that keep your stomach cool such as fruit juice, lime juice, coconut water and glucose-based drinks.
The Veg Effect: Adding lots of green vegetables like kale, sprouts and cabbage are fruitful for your skin and body. It makes your skin healthy and able it to fight the unrelenting weather. Salads likes seasonal vegetables, cucumber, tomato and mint are quite good for body and skin. Doctors suggest adding fish oil which is rich in Omega 3 to help retain skin moisture.
Protect Yourself from Sun Rays: Sunscreen protects your skin from UVB and UVA rays. Doctor suggest using SPF 15-30 during daytimes. It’s good to wrap your head and face with a cotton cloth. Sunglasses to shield your eyes and umbrella to cover the exposed parts of your body.
