Integrated farm school at Tuensang

Integrated farm school was inaugurated on June 23 at the day-long programme in the presence of Alisopur and Longhipeth village. The programme was marked by anti-rabies vaccination camp-cum training programme.
District horticulture officer Tuensang Dr. Moa Walling who inaugurated the farm school as chief guest exhorted the farmers to utilize their own knowledge and skills while integrating new expertise and enhancing farmers. Guest of honor Dr. Khutovi Wotsa deputy director horticulture department encouraged the farmers to invest and exploit collectively and make best use of the opportunities and resources available.
Topics on ‘piggery production and management of some important diseases was dwelt by Dr. Vikeshe Sumi, deputy director ATMA Tuensang. BTM Chare block Sentimenla Jamir spoke on ‘management of pests of locally grown important horticulture crops such as banana, citrus and mango while vermicomposting its applicability and scope was deliberated by Albert Shitiri SMS Chare block.
