Condemning the reported ‘quit notice’ issued on Meiteis living in the Naga inhabited districts of Manipur by “the so called Naga crusader’s group recently”, a statement purportedly issued by ‘retd.Maj’ N. Panmei, medical kilonser cum political supervisor, southern Nagaland (GPRN/NSCN) said “such display of sensitive matters by some ill-responsible group of people cannot be tolerated at all”. It said Naga national movement has no agenda for communal hatred in the neighbourhood as peaceful coexistence and relationship since time immemorial till today, “cannot be sabotaged by any senseless group” and warned they shall not escape punishment.
It also asked any person “in the name of Naga crusaders” to come out clear of their identities and appealed for maturity and peace till facts were unearthed.
It also denied any discord “within the NSCN/GPRN” as “towering figure of S.S. Khaplang is unquestionable”. It said there was not the “slightest blame on the credential of S.S.Khaplang” as “acclaimed genius and undisputed father of NSCN/GPRN” who stood the test of times for the “great cause of Naga national-hood”.
It said southern Nagas, their respective regional councils remain intact fully behind S.S.Khaplang. It warned those in southern Naga areas against and evil design that would harm “Naga solidarity under the genuine and true leadership.”
It also said Zeliangrong region of the NSCN/GPRN in vast areas of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and elsewhere were fully behind S.S. Khaplang
