NU declares M.Com, MA, Msc. result: Nagaland University has declared provisional results of M.Com, MA and M.Sc 2nd and 4th semester exam conducted in the month of October 2010. The result include M. Com- 2nd semester 2009 batch and 4th semester 2008 batch;MA economics -2nd semester regular 2009 batch, repeater 2008 batch, 4th semester (Regular 2008 batch) and 2007 batch (repeater); Msc. Zoology -2nd semester (regular), repeater (2008 batch), 4th semester (regular); Msc. Botany- 2nd semester (regular 2009 batch), repeater (2008 batch) and 4th semester (regular 3008 batch).
SZVC joint meeting: Sechü Zubza Village Council (SZVC) has convened a joint meeting of land owners and land patta holders on July 2 at at the village council hall to discuss matter relating to the construction of the proposed four-lane-road passing through the village. The meeting called by village council chairman, Neikuo Sechü and Secretary Beiselhoukho Suokhrie have requested all to attend the meeting.
CKM executive meeting: Changkikong Students’ Conference (CKM) executive council meeting has been convened on June 29,2 pm at the residence of its treasurer Dr. Temsu Ozukum, DC court Dimapur. All executive, seniors executive and secretaries of the CKM have been requested to attend the meeting.
Issue of JNV Nihokhu admit card: District education officer, Dimapur has notified that JNV, Nihokhu admit card would be issued from its office. School authority have been informed to collect during office hour and selection test exam would be conducted July 10,9: 30am at GHSS Dimapur.
PBU inform butchers: Pork Butcher Union (PBU) Dimapur has directed all the butchers to sell meat products at DMC fixed rate and to hand their respective weighting scale at least 1 (one) feet above. Union said defaulters would be dealt with strict action and directed all butchers to renew their identity card before July 31.
LRC, NNC elects new office bearers: Lotha Regional Council (LRC) has re-elected the office bearers for the next 3 years on June 17 at LTC hall Wokha. In a press release M.C. Murry, chief advisor, Chenirao Humtsoe CEE (M), T. Oren Lotha CEE member said that on expiry of office tenure of LRC on May 30, office bearers were re-elected and is to be headed by Mhonrao Ezung as president and Benry yanthan as general secretary.
Congress leader joins NPF : Senior Congress leader and ex-candidate of 58th A/C Shamator- Chessore W. Akhum, has tendered resignation from the Congress active member and joined NPF 58th Shamator Chessore on June 21. The general secretary of NPF 58th Shamator-Chessore, C. Kiuthsang welcomed the decision of the leader and hoped his joining the party would strengthen every developmental aspect. W. Akhum, said there had been a large scale developmental activities in the areas initiated by R. Tohanba, the parliamentary secretary IPR, Eco& statistic Nagaland.
DNSU ‘Naga Nite’: Diphuapr Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) would be organising ‘Naga Nite’ to culminate its 21st biennial general conference. The programme would feature two day session on the July 1 where affiliated Tribal Units will present specials number, solo from Sumi Students’ Union, choreography by Rengma Students’ union, besides six Local bands, viz 6th Dimension band (Ao), Crucifix Band (Chakesang), The Genesis (Angami), Daeus X 47 Band(Rongmai), Slapdash (Lotha) and Resurrection (Local Band & Special Appearance) Guest Band from Dimapur i.e. all Girls Band the Cronies and Pulse has confirmed their presentation on stage. The programme would be graced by Hokuto Zhimomi, advisor DMC as special guest.
Village health and nutrition day organised at Tuensang: The village health and nutrition day was held at Tuensang village L. Khel in Tuensang village. The camp was conducted by National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Government of India. During the programme, expectant mother’s, child immunization, TB patients were given free check up and also distributed free medicines. Meanwhile, the council Chairman Tuensang village L. Khel, B.I. Chaba Chang has appreciated the department for their generous contribution towards the rural people and hoped they would continue doing so even in future. The village council further whished them a grand success in their endeavors.
USBYE youth camp held : United Sangtam Baptist Youth Endeavour (USBYE) Kohima and Dimapur area conducted a youth camp on June 24-26 at Life Spring Corner. The camp was held under the theme ‘Restore the radiance’ where 351 youths from various churches under USBYE attended the programme. Rev. Kilang Jamir, director of youth harvest ministry Dimapur, Dr. Apise pastor, Tsisepi lecturer EBC Dimapur, Rev. Iringtie Kauring NBCC youth secretary and Likhase professor Nagaland University Lumami were the speakers and resource persons respectively.
Natsumi Baptist Church conducts VBS: Natsumi Baptist Church conducted Vacation Bible School (VBS) from June 23 to 26 at Natsumi Baptist Church on the theme of the VBS is “My Good Life” With Hotokhu Assumi as its VBS Director, the teachers are Yekivi Assumi assistant. Pastor, Tohovi Swu, Hokishe Wotsa M. Div, Paul, Viliho Swu W/Pastor, Nivili, Kalito, Ghotoli, Kashili.
