New Anganwadi centre in Tsg a respite for children

The new Anganwadi centre of bazaar ‘B’ sector Tuensang town was formally inaugurated by CDPO Sangsangnyu, Chotsase Sangtam on Saturday.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the chief guest stressed on the importance of Anganwadi activities and integrated children development scheme (ICDS), a centrally sponsored scheme funded by UNICEF with an objective to promote children like health, pre- school education, nutrition, indoor and outdoor games etc.
Chotsase lauded the efforts made by sector elders for successful completion of Anganwadi centre within a short period of time bringing much relief to children’s community, without financial assistance from the government and department.
He also urged the gathering to cooperate with each other for the development of the sector, and later donated cash, utensils and food items to the centre. Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Helimong chairman village Anganwadi board, while invocation was pronounced by C. Thsadong deacon SBL. Welcome address was delivered by Chipong DB.
Yojongliba advisor sector union also spoke at the occasion. Chairman VAB expressed gratitude to sector public and committee for their generous contribution and for assisting financially, and materially towards making their dream a success.
The sector union also thanked MLA P. Chuba Chang for extending financial help towards construction of the centre.
