Rain creates havoc in Zbto

Heavy torrential rain in Zunheboto has created havoc in parts of Zunheboto town.
A major drain at police point Zunheboto blocked by garbage and trash caused in the main town caused damage to provisional stores and medical centres.
The wastes were cleared by Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC) on June 28. ZTC has also cautioned all vegetable vendors to shift to daily market with effect from July 1 since the wastes of the vegetables were also affecting the flow of the water blocking the drain.
ZTC advisor Nikheto Zhimomi further informed that large portion of residential retaining wall of DC Hill West a resident of one Hoito collapsed owing to heavy torrential rain on June 28.
The rubbles of the wall further caused severe damage to the two government quarters occupied by one Bendangla APP Zunheboto and Lashika driver.
A hard top gypsy belonging to district commandant home guard Mokokchung was also partially damaged by the rubbles.
