On a goodwill mission, the AKM (Ao Student Conference) leaders on Wednesday visited Changki village.
The visiting team met with the Changki village executive committee members to act as a mediator between the Ao Senden (Ao Hoho) and Changki village who have been at loggerheads since 2009.
Speaking on the occasion, Akok, President of AKM said the AKM stood for the common brotherhood amongst the Aos and asked the elders of the community to resolve the issue between the Ao Senden and Changki village for the betterment of the Ao society at the earliest.
It may be mentioned that the AKM is the first NGO to visit Changki village after the Ao Senden in September 15, 2009 ex-communicated Changki village from the membership of Ao Senden.
It may be noted that The Ao Senden during its general assembly held on in September 15, 2009 resolved to annul Ao citizenship to the people of Changki village.
This resolution, according to Ao Senden, was adopted after taking into consideration the opinion of all the federating units of the Senden.
