CM condemns violent incidents

Chief minister Neiphiu Rio Thursday condemned the two incidents of violence at Inavi Village, Peren district and 3rd Mile area, Dimapur, Thursday.
In a statement, Rio said he was saddened that the village chairman and assistant GB were killed by a group of miscreants injuring two others seriously and destroying houses and properties. He also condemned the bomb attack on Y. Enterprise in Dimapur where one person was killed by unidentified miscreants. Condemning the incidents in the strongest of manner and calling it a “cowardly violence” Rio said the state government will leave no stone unturned to see that justice is meted out to all concerned. Rio also appealed to all and to those affected in particular, to maintain calm and peace and not to resort to counter-violence. He also appealed to all to assist and cooperate with the law enforcing agencies in restoring peace and in arresting the culprits.
