NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) has decried the raid conducted by the Kohima police on its cadres taking shelter in different locations on June 29. The publicity wing of the outfit while questioning the raid led by SP Kohima, termed it as “suspicious”.
It also asked the police whether the raid was conducted with prior approval of the Cease Fire Supervisory Board or was the order issued by the ministry of home affairs?.

The ministry also clarified that other than its finance secretary, no other person is authorized to “deal/collect tax”from any government till further orders. It also informed that in order to avoid confusion/misunderstanding among the people, it has asked the affected persons to contact the finance secretary at 9436435669/9089179931 in Kohima and A.K.Yepthomi at 9402993566/8974269529 in Dimapur district.
