Three days training programme on capacity building of chairman/BOD of primary agricultural cooperative societies was formally inaugurated by chief guest BP Chetri, commissioner & secretary, cooperation.
Imtinungba, deputy registrar of cooperatives, Nagaland presided the meeting. Dr. US Saha, general manager (OIC) NABARD, RO, BK Thadani, managing director, NSCB and Rajuselie Lhousa, vice chairman NSCB were the dignitaries who attended the meeting.
BP Chetri, commissioner & secretary in his inaugural speech called upon the participating societies to reap the benefit of the programme as it was necessary for revamping the cooperative movement of the state, for which the government of Nagaland had signed an MOU with the government of India and NABARD for reviving the short term cooperative credit structure in Nagaland. Earlier, Lalam Doungel, general manager (Cr) welcomed the participants, while vote of thanks was pronounced by Bendangnungsang, assistant general manager (Agri).
