A question to Naga revolutionaries on CAA/NRC

By Nagaland Post | Publish Date: 1/19/2020 12:52:18 PM IST

The Naga Struggle for freedom apart from many other issues, one core reasons was of identity. The identity crisis that Nagas are not Indian by virtue or by birth neither similarities in culture, traditions, religion or in tone of skin, physicality and historically or anthropologically and therefore the struggle for identity begun of which is prolong dragged to this day.

Nagas are Indian by circumstances are largely accepted notions for a political and administrative conveniences but the fact remains the same that Nagas are Nagas and vis-a-vis.

The imposition of CAA and NRC is an indirect wage of political war upon the Nagas to classify them as an immigrant category inhabiting as Indians within the region of Nagaland.

Only a misled and unconcern mind will not be aware of the appraising affairs of the current issues. CAA open a welcome door to illegal immigrants giving them a  direct Indian citizenship on religious grounds to three Nationals of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan and NRC shows an exit door, commanding legal citizens to proof their Indian-ness without a valid documents issued by the same authority  as Passport, Aadhar or PAN which is not a valid proof of citizenship according to Amit Shah thrashing the documents with which they had been voted to power, ready to kick out of their homes in case failed to produce some of an invalid unconcern documents.

The National Register of Citizens will be applied for the whole of India as stated by Amit Shah and Nagaland being a state under India will not have exception and in this regard before CAA, NRC=NPR, the political right under Art 371A or ILP will be like a man with a broken bone put on a fight against the bull. Now; when it comes to Naga National struggle, the bone of contention lies on the question of Indianness and Naganess that Nagas are not Indians nor Indian a Naga.

Naga being a Sovereign Independent Nation as declared on 14 Aug 1947, imposition of CAA status on another nationality is violation against the territorial integrity of another nation.

This Act and Bill clearly force the people to prove their identity as Indian citizens.

Nagas are sovereign independent entity as claimed by the Nagas and Naga National Workers and in midst of negotiations with the GoI to settle the conflict and therefore when Nagas are fighting to assert our unique identity as Nagas, will Naga National leaders remain aloof when the people are forced to prove of their Indian-ness and reduced to a mere refugees status in their own land. Huge number of commons especially the older sections doesn't even aware of their births dates also owing to conflicts of wars, the burning down of homes and of varied reason's and even if some possess a required documents will not be without an errors, the concern is that a slightest mismatch can put people to a huge burden by this hazardous foolish adventure of the duo Modi Shah and in this regards Will the Naga National leaders fighting for an Identity as Nagas would stand for the people against this forced imposition of Citizenship or play by at the hands of Indian politics.

The Naga political leaders had failed the Nagas now How far will the National revolutionary leaders hold up the grounds for the Nagas in need and resist against this dreadful imposition of GoI is worth anticipation which will go down in Naga History for generations to be remembered.
