District review meeting of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) health scheme was held at CMO office Zunheboto on December 3.

A press release by CMO office district media officer stated that, during the meeting, DC Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo encouraged and urged members to put more effort to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme and to improve the performance in the district.

Dy.CMO/district nodal officer AB-PMJAY Zunheboto, Dr. K. Akaho Sema highlighted the activities of the programme in the district and stated that AB-PMJAY was the largest insurance scheme financed by the government. He encouraged health workers to work with dedication and sincerity and not let poor patients be deprived of the benefits.

District co-ordinate, AB-PMJAY Vibo P Jakha gave awareness talk and powerpoint presentation on AYUSHMAN Bharat and its key features, while PMAM, DH, Zunheboto, Kipito L Achumi briefed about district wise number of individual card issued, scheme status and empanelled health care provider (EHEP) performance.

Members also deliberated on appraising the concerned authority to impart reorientation training for stakeholders in the district for successful implementation of the programme. It also decided to issue directive to village council chairman/colony chairman from the administration to actively involve and coordinate with the health care staffs. Vote of thanks was delivered by DPM, Rosemary Vitoli.
