Abhinav awarded The Blue Cross

Abhinav Bindra on Friday became the first Indian to earn the highest shooting honour - The Blue Cross. 

The Blue Cross is the highest recognition granted by shooting’s world body,  International Shooting Sport Federation. It is awarded for an excellent contribution to the sport of shooting to the distinguished members of the international shooting fraternity. “Extremely humbled to receive the @ISSF_Shooting ‘s highest honour the Blue Cross at the General Assembly in Munich today,” Bindra tweeted on Friday. Bindra still remains India’s only Olympic Gold medallist. 

He earlier won the Arjuna award in 2000, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2001 and the Padma Bhushan in 2009.
