Acharya attends lecture  on skill development at SJU

Nagaland governor, P B Acharya, who is the official visitor of St. Joseph’s University (SJU) Dimapur visited the university on July 23, and attended the lecture on “Skill Development; Making Youth Employable”.
In a press release from SJU Dimapur PRO, F. Justin, the governor called on the students not to be mere certificate graduate, but with an ability to transform and reform the society through skilful education. He also stressed on the need to preserve the mother tongue, which was the base of every society. Further, he highlighted various Prime Minister Skill development programs to the students and urged them to take up.
Vice chancellor, Dr. Ganadurai in his keynote address, explained the unique nature of the university in which he said that the university was well ahead in implementing central government approved skill development programs. 
He also said that all the faculties at the university will be doctorate holders in two years time.
Earlier, the program started with a prayer by PRO of the university, Fr. Justin, while registrar of the university, Dr. A. Kanchana welcomed the governor and other dignitaries. 
The program was attended by secretary of the university, Sr. Jagani, administrator, Sr. Thaines and other official of the universities.
