Accompanied by his wife Kavita, outgoing governor PB Acharya left Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Friday and arrived here by road. 

Before his departure from Raj Bhavan, he was accorded general salute by House Guard at the courtyard and was seen off by staff members and security personnel of Raj Bhavan in the presence of Nagaland ministers CM Chang and Temjen Imna Along, additional chief secretary and development commissioner Sentiyanger Imchen, home commissioner Abhijit Sinha, additional director general of police R Kikon, Kohima deputy commissioner (DC) and superintendent of police (SP). On his arrival at Dimapur, a guard of honour was presented by Nagaland Police at Chumoukedima Police House, after which he along with his wife proceeded to the airport. At the airport, a grand guard of honour was accorded to the outgoing governor by 10 IR Bn, while Naga Genius Choir presented the song “God be with you till we meet again”.

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, ministers-- Neiba Kronu and V Kashiho Sangtam, Home commissioner, M Patton, DIG Training Dimapur Aotemsu, Dimapur DC Kevin Zehole and commissioner of police Dimapur Limasunep Jamir saw off Acharya and his wife at the airport.
