Acharya, Patton greet on Tuluni

Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya and deputy chief minister, Y. Patton have extended greetings to the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni Festival 2019. 

In his message, Acharya stated that Tuluni was a festival of great significance which is marked with merry-making for the Sumi’s through dance, songs, food and thanks giving to the deities for good fortune and blessings.

He called on all to take time and thank the Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing. Acharya said it was also an occasion to rededicate oneself with renewed vigour to achieve peace, progress and prosperity. “Let us also continue to safeguard and promote the rich culture and traditions through our festivals and come together and rededicate ourselves to make the atmosphere conducive in our towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and for all round development in the State,” he added. 

Dy CM: Y. Patton also extended warm greetings to the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni, to mark the end of dry season and beginning of new fruits and bountiful season. 

He said Sumis have always been in the forefront in various fields, especially their overwhelming contribution in the Naga political history.

Patton said he was optimistic that Sumis will continue to contribute their best for a peaceful and prosperous future of the Nagas. 

On behalf of BJP unit and himself, Patton wished the Sumis a very happy Tuluni and hoped that the festival will bring forth love, peace and happiness in abundance.
