Achumi clan get-together held in Dimapur

The Achumi Kughuko Uposhukulu Nagaland held its 5th general session on December 13 at the Agri Expo site Angh Hall, Dimapur hosted by Er. Toniho Achumi, EE Police Engineering Project and family. The programme was attended by hundreds of Achumis from different walks of life and Mongzar clan of Sangtam tribe of Kiphire district. 

The keynote address was delivered by Vika Achumi, Rtd. DIG Nagaland Police. Members like Joshua Achumi, former Dy. Speaker NLA, Hosheto Achumi, Rtd. Transport Commissioner, Hovishe Arkha Achumi, former Sumi Hoho president Er. Kahuli Achumi, Addl. CE PWD (R&B), Dr. L.K. Achumi, (Rtd) district & sessions judge; Shikuto Zalipu Achumi general secretary Nagaland GB Federation and Tokishe Achumi, vice president  of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho.

Khatomong Mongzar spoke on behalf of the Mongzar clan while Akum Yimchunger also spoke on behalf of Yimchunger tribe.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Tokugha Achumi, general manager DIC while pastor of Sumi Baptist Church Eralibil, Lhokishe Achumi invoked God’s blessing. Prayer for blessing for the Achumi clan was said by Rev. Heikhu Achumi. 

The vote of thanks was said Viheshe Achumi, retired addl. director of Industries while pastor Jacob Achumi Asso. Pastor, Diphuphar Sumi Baptist Church said the benedictory prayer. 

Meanwhile, new team of office bearers were inducted (2019 -2024) to be led by Toniho Achumi as chairman and Jonah Achumi as general secretary along with other office bearers and executive members.

A special number was presented by Ngukaho Achumi, Assoc. Pastor Youth Lukuto Baptist Church while a folk song was sung by the Lazami Achumi women group.
