ACVA Wokha celebrates 5th foundation day

All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA) Wokha district celebrated its 5th foundation day under the theme “All endeavouring, all achieving” here Friday at Public Ground Wokha with chairman Lotha Hoho, Er. Mhondamo Ovung as special invitee.
Ovung in his speech remarked that it was heartening to witness strong unity among members of the association. Pointing out that ACVA was not just an organisation but a refuge for its members in times of difficulties, Ovung called upon the gathering to inculcate a sense of belonging towards the association and strengthen it.
The Lotha Hoho chairman also sensitized the gathering of mostly drivers and commercial vehicle owners to be respectful towards consumer rights, reminding them that consumers/clients avail their services after payment.
While touching upon the importance of following traffic rules, Ovung encouraged the drivers to practice good driving etiquettes. Further, the special invitee blessed the ACVA and its members in its future endeavours and reminded them that social and economic progress was possible only through hard work and perseverance.
Also speaking on the occasion, acting convenor ACAUT Wokha Unit, M.James Tungoe highlighted the activities of ACAUT in the state. Tungoe attributed the success of ACAUT movement in Wokha to support from strong and influential organisation like ACVA and underscored the need to strengthen the association. He further reminded the ACVA that the nature of its work was service to humanity and urged the association to put customer comfort first in all its activities. 
Earlier, Yanithung Lotha, president ACVA Wokha, welcomed the gathering. Steward Mhao Ngullie invoked God’s blessings. Later, general secretary ACVA Wokha, Y. Evungthung Ezung, proposed vote of thanks. Athungo Murry, WDAU, said the benediction. Organising secretary ACVA Wokha, Lipenthung Ovung chaired the programme
Meanwhile, ACVA in its general discussion resolved to reiterate and reaffirm its stand for “One Government, One Tax” adopted in 2014 in line with ACAUT’s resolution of the same. It may be mentioned that ACVA is the umbrella organisation of all types of vehicles engaged in commercial activities represented by ANTA Wokha, WDAU, Truck Union,  Mini Truck Union, Bus Union and Pickup Union.
