Association for Democracy and Empowerment (ADE) and Garo Student Union (GSU) have extended support to Khasi Students Union (KSU) on its stand on the issue of allotting land to Nagaland government for the purpose of construction of guest house at North Eastern Indira Gandhi Institute of Health and Medical Science.
In a statement, GSU president Tangsak G. Momin and ADE president Dalseng Bira Ch. Momin said that they were not against any particular state or people being facilitated at the NEIGRIHMS, but were concerned over the lackadaisical attitude of the Meghalaya government towards its own people.
People of Khasi, Garo and Jaintia community come here for treatment and face  hardship  due to accommodation, the statement said. In view of the above, ADE and GSU demanded that the authorities to provide boarding and lodging facilities to the people of Meghalaya immediately.
