Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA) Nagaland, on September 3, organised an advocacy program at United College of Theology and Mission (UCTM), Dimapur.

A press release by LFA Nagaland stated that during the program, state consultant LFA Nagaland, Dr. Vinito L. Chishi, highlighted the importance of Christian and church leaders’ involvement and participation in HIV & AIDS issues and concern in the state.

He also encouraged the students and faculty members of the college to set an example for others by being agents of change in HIV & AIDS response.

Dr. Vinito also asserted that theology must embrace ethical response towards the HIV & AIDS infected and affected people and consider it as one would consider any other disease, without discrimination.

The other resource person, Hukatoli from LFA also spoke on social concern and responsibility of an individual.

The program was chaired by UCTM, principal, Dr. Ashong Serto while benediction was pronounced by academic dean, Temsulemla.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
