AEFI workshop for M-RVC held in Dimapur

A one-day sensitization workshop on Adverse Effects Following Immunization (AEFI) & District Micro Plan Review Meeting for the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (M-RVC) for medical officers, district program managers and block program managers was held at the CMO’s office conference hall, Dimapur on August 29.

A press release by District Media Officer, CMO office, Pezanguno Celine Secii stated that deputy CMO Peren, Dr. Supongmenla Walling, in her welcome address, thanked and appreciated the members present for attending the meeting and urged them to work for the success of the campaign while also introducing the AEFI. She highlighted the dos and don’ts and roles and responsibilities of the medical officers if faced with such cases of AEFI.

RRT (WHO), Peren, Dr. Archana also spoke on AEFI management for the M-RVC and AEFI reporting. DPO UIP/RCH, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir spoke about the introduction to microplan reviews.

Thereafter, a presentation of microplan was given by the blocks: Melenguonuo, BPM Peren; Rayilungwangle, BPM Jalukie; Temsumenla, BPM Athibung; and Menulelo Toso BPM Tening. Issues related to Micro planning were also discussed.

The program was chaired by SHP coordinator, Ramokla and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir.
