Agriculture director releases ATMA newsletter

As part of the Kisan Kalyan Karyashala observation of ATMA Zunheboto District, a program to release Volume 1, 3rd issue newsletter, special edition was held at the Directorate’s office chamber on July 4. A DIPR report said that the newsletter was released by Ikuto Zhimo, director of Agriculture in the presence of Viliehu Nguzhu, additional director & HoD (Soil and Water Conservation).
Ikuto Zhimomi said that farmers of Nagaland, in the mid 60’s, practiced mono cropping but with the intervention of the Agriculture and allied departments, the farmers were mostly practicing mixed cropping and making a handsome profit. He said that documenting should be done not only at the block levels but even at the state level. ATMA functionaries were given a speech of encouragement by Vielichu Nguzhu. 
He advised ATMA functionaries to focus and develop a sense of curiosity in field work. The program was chaired by Avitoli Yeptho deputy PD ATMA, Zunheboto. Key note address was delivered by K. Khekiho Shohe, PD ATMA, Zunheboto. 
The program was attended by senior officers of Agriculture and Soil and Water Conservation and officials from ATMA Zunheboto.
